Product overview

The BendPak MDS-6LP is a fixed mid-rise scissor lift for workshops that want more working height than a low-rise lift while keeping the centre of the vehicle comparatively accessible. Twin platform assemblies sit either side of the centreline, creating useful access for wheel, brake, suspension and inspection work. Four hydraulic cylinders and a flow-divider arrangement support controlled platform movement, while pneumatic lock release lets the operator disengage the mechanical safety system from the control position. The adjustable platform spacing helps the installation suit different vehicle tracks and workshop layouts.

Workshop fit

BendPak MDS-6LP is rated to 2,722 kg and is a open-centre mid-rise scissor lift. Published maximum lift is 1,118 mm; installation profile is surface-mount. Confirm vehicle mass and weight distribution, manufacturer-approved lifting points, ground clearance, track/wheelbase or pad reach, workshop bay dimensions, overhead clearance at full lift, electrical and pneumatic services, and the exact slab/foundation/recess requirements before supply or installation. Rated capacity alone does not establish vehicle suitability. For flush-mount products, the site recess/pit must be built to the exact supplied manual/revision – never from a generic scissor-lift drawing.

Frequently asked questions

What is the advantage of the open-centre layout?
It leaves more access through the middle of the vehicle than a solid-platform lift, which is useful for inspections and many service tasks.
The current BendPak manufacturer page lists 1,118 mm maximum lifting height, or about 1,168 mm with the listed blocks. The Australian supplied revision should be confirmed before publication.
Yes for the pneumatic safety-lock release system. Current BendPak material specifies a minimum 50 psi / 10 CFM air source; final site requirements should be confirmed at installation.
It has longer platforms than many compact mid-rise lifts, but vehicle suitability still depends on the actual lift-point spread, track, mass and weight distribution. The MDS-6EXT is the more extended option in this family.
Yes. Iron Lift can quote installation/commissioning, servicing, repairs and spare parts subject to the actual site and location.
